The Florida Academy is pleased to release the FAFP ECG Toolkit developed to provide resources and support family physicians in navigating the new 2026 requirement for high school athletes to receive an electrocardiogram (ECG) as part of their preparticipation exam (PPE).

The toolkit focuses on the following three distinct sections:

A step-by-step guide outlining clinical pathways for PPE completion.

Addresses common clinical and operational questions on ECG requirements.

The FAFP has worked hard with the stakeholders to implement this new requirement governed by the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA).

A table summarizing all required FHSAA forms.
