How a Regional Extension Center Can Help You

If you're looking for assistance with the transition to electronic medical records, the first place you should start is with your local Regional Extension Center (REC). Why? Since the REC services are often available at no cost or low cost, they are worth exploring for any practice that feels it needs a helping hand.

Transformation of Health Care through Electronic Health Records

Are you and/or your partners looking for free, unbiased assistance in adopting the electronic health record in your practice? Would you like assistance in registering and receiving up to $63,750 dollars in Medicaid and up to $44,000 in Medicare incentive funding?

Come join us in the Transformation of Health Care through Electronic Health Records!

Only 500 positions remain available for this assistance!

The South Florida Regional Extension Center (SFREC) is here to assist and guide you as you select, successfully implement and meaningfully use certified electronic records to improve the efficiency, quality and value of healthcare.

As one of 62 nonprofit Regional Extension Centers established nationwide, the SFREC is a government-funded team of experienced local Health IT professionals, governed through physician leadership with intimate knowledge of the South Florida medical community. The SFREC is working side-by-side with providers to guide them completely through the entire adoption process.

Why team up with the South Florida Regional Extension Center?

  • To receive direct, rapid and reliable access to a pipeline of key information and meaningful EHR use from the Office of National Coordinator of HIT.
  • To insure that you are properly registered to receive your Medicare or Medicaid incentive payments.
  • To receive a readiness assessment of your practice and assistance in EHR vendor selection, identification, evaluation and negotiation.
  • To have a trusted and experienced partner in the transition from a paper-based health record environment to an interconnected, patient-centric care system.
  • To achieve an effective and efficient implementation of your EHR system.
  • To receive on-going support, maintenance and training as you achieve meaningful use and beyond.

The SFREC experts are standing by to seamlessly guide you through this process. With the SFREC, you will meet all the criteria needed to achieve meaningful use: data standardization, e-prescribing, participation in a Health Information Exchange, clinical reporting and quality improvement. They serve all health care providers from Key West to Vero Beach.

Take advantage of this great opportunity while the federal funding is still available. For more information, or to schedule an office readiness assessment, visit the SFREC website at www.southfloridarec.org or contact:
