Physical Education in the Public Schools - Capitol Update Week 6

Physical Education in the Public Schools – No movement

SB 1644 by Senator Evelyn Lynn (R-Ormond Beach) and HB 4057 by Representative Larry Metz (R-Eustis) repeal of the requirement for each district school board to provide physical education instruction for public school students in grades 6 through 8.

SB 1644 was referred to the committees on Education Pre-K and Budget. HB 4057 passed the K-20 Invocation Subcommittee and is now in its last committee of reference; the Education Committee.
