As the charitable arm of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians, the FAFP Foundation puts family medicine values into practice. Its primary mission is to continually improve the health care of all Floridians by funding education, research, and community outreach programs involving medical students, residents and family physicians. Not only does the FAFP Foundation fund scholarships, awards and leadership opportunities for medial students and resident physicians in Florida, it also provides professional development opportunities for practicing physicians and funding for state of the art disease prevention programs throughout the state. Because of the Foundation’s innovative programs and initiatives, the future of family medicine is alive in Florida.
